Privacy Policy
This site is operated by James Laker, a real estate advisor in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. This page explains what happens to the information you give me. It is written plainly on purpose.
What I collect
Only what you type into a form on this site:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your buying timeline, if you select one
- Any message you write
Alongside that, the form records the page you submitted from, the web address you arrived on (including any campaign tracking parameters), the site that referred you, your IP address and your browser user-agent string. That is used to understand which pages and campaigns are working, and to limit automated spam.
What I do with it
- Send you the material you requested, such as the buyer’s guide
- Contact you about Cabo del Sol and Los Cabos real estate
- Understand which pages and marketing sources produce genuine enquiries
I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. If introducing you to someone becomes necessary to progress a transaction — a notary, an escrow company, a lender — I will tell you first.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in a database on this site’s web hosting, and are also sent to me by email. I keep enquiries for as long as they are commercially useful, and delete them on request.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies of its own. If web analytics is enabled it may set its own cookies to measure visits in aggregate; you can block these in your browser settings without affecting how the site works. Links out to james.findmexicohouses.com carry campaign tags so I can see which pages send genuine enquiries. That site has its own privacy policy and its own registration requirements.
Third-party links
Pages here link to external sites, including property search portals. I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing them with information.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to send you a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and replying with the word STOP is enough. There is no penalty for asking and I will not ask why.
Children
This site is intended for adults considering a property purchase, and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page. Material changes will be dated.
